Cup guys in Nationwide

I think it all comes down to sponsorship dollars. I heard a comment on the radio today about the Roush cars at Vegas. Two rookies without a sponsor for that race but Carl's car is fully funded. If they removed Edwards for half the season would they have the sponsorship on that car still filled out? |

i think it would be simple to say cup guys cant race for the championship in nationwide but at the same time i think the rules are fine how they are im one of those fence voters |

What about the guys who used to be in Sprint Cup, but lost their ride, and are taking a step backward into the Nationwide Series?I think the rules should be if you are currently racing in the Cup Series, then you should not be allwoed to race in the N-Wide series. I don't have a problem with former Cup guys racing in the series becuase they're not Cup guys anymore. |

If there was a limit to the number of races a Cup guy could run in the Nationwide series I would be all for it. Like a 10 race maximum or something. It's supposed to be a series for grooming the next gen of Cup drivers, but I think the sponsorship dollars have the final say sadly. You don't see a Major Leaguer playing Triple A ball in his down time unless he's coming back from injury or just not playing well. |
