I have been thinking that the Nascar season is too long. My thought would be a 30 race season...20 regular 10 chase. In order to do this, you would probably need to eliminate tracks that have 2 races a season(except for a few) Any thoughts? Throwing it out there...

I like it the way it is... but right now I am sooo busy I can't keep up with the sites! By the time October rolls around I am ready for it to be done usually.

I think they should get rid of the second date at any of the tracks especially those that have 2 dates within 2 months of each other. I don't care if they add tracks or delete races but each track should have just one race.
Okay to your actually question...usually I'm find with the length of the season except for last year where I was all for cancelling the last 3 or 4 races since you pretty much knew JJ was going to win the championship again.

I actually like the length of the season. I dont get to see many of the races during the summer because of working so its nice when I can start watching again in the fall.

I could go for racing every weekend. But if the economy starts moving toward a depression you will definately see them cutting back the schedule just to survive

Definitely cut it to 30. Maybe then we wouldn't see the same huge sponsorship woes we're enduring right now too - it'd cost somewhat less to sponsor and run a car.

i think season is long.i dont mine though.we could cut tracks back two one race espically those that dont sell out.i would cut road course out for sure . i think the rest would depend on the market in area.

I think the season is pretty long. The longest of any sport. I like watching the races and everything, but I know some people who work on some of the race teams and they are never home. They have no time for family or friends. They are always on the run.

I agree with everyone that they could cut out races and just let the tracks have one race per season.

I realize most people probably forgot about this forum topic days ago, but I feel like I actually have something to say on this one, so here it is:
I think all you guys are crazy! One of my favorite things about NASCAR is that it runs for so long. I could never have enough races, and frankly if the drivers didn't need a break, I would call for NASCAR to be year round. haha.
